Recently upgrade to a digital dash and your alternator is no longer charging? This is due to the missing alternator light bulb that was in the OEM cluster. Older alternators require a external wire to "excite" them and begin the charging cycle.
We've created a simple, clean solution to splice into your alternator excite wire that will fix non-charging alternator issues due to the missing OEM cluster. We use a high quality resistor that matches the resistance of the OEM bulb. It is soldered to a 2 pin female DTM connector and then planted in a TPU housing and encapsulated with electronic grade epoxy. This ensures the install will be safe, clean, and weather resistant.
