This is the famous Tilton QUAD disc carbon clutch Kit. Used in MANY 7, 8 and 9 second Supras world wide, this clutch is considered by many to be the best. The entire clutch assembly & flywheel weighs only 9 pounds....
This is a quad carbon clutch that is meant for the exteme racer making the most power.
This item is Special order and will take time to get as it is a custom clutch kit.
The benefits of this clutch over the tripple carbon are as follows:
1. Increased torque capacity. Standard ƒ??GGƒ?� spring is rated at 1680 lb-ft torque capacity. Higher rate ƒ??GGGƒ?� spring is rated at 1940 lb-ft torque capacity.
2. Better long term wear. The additional carbon driven plate and floater plate increases the overall surface (wear) area of the clutch.
3. Higher heat capacity. The clutch can handle higher temperatures generated during slipping/modulating because of the clutch increased mass (to absorb heat).
