Description
GSC Power-Division Billet R1 cams for the Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE. This profile was designed with the drifter or road racer in mind for fast spool and quick recovery from on off throttle which make them ideal for a street car as well. While the R1 cams were designed for those running Stroker engines and wanting maximum cylinder fill at lower RPM stock displacement stroke engines work just fine on them. Do to the aggressive ramp design of the profile limit revs to 8500 rpms (valve spring dependent). Effective rpm range of 4000-8500 RPMs. These camsrequire an upgraded valve spring set such as our Conical Spring kits (GSC5064 or GSC5066) along with shimless buckets/tappets and head clearance for lift.

Rougher than stock idle
It is necessary to clearance the cylinder head casting to allow for the R1 profile to rotate
Please maintain .02"/ .5mm min clearance from the cylinder head casting
Shimless Tappets or Shim under tappet style are required
Increased displacement engine suggested but not required
